The Board of Directors at Village of the Stars provides vision, oversight, and leadership rooted in a shared commitment to adoption, inclusion, and family support. Each member brings valuable expertise and lived experience to help guide our mission and ensure we serve families with integrity, compassion, and excellence.

Dr. Clyde W. Xi

President

Clyde is a native Chinese. He left China in 1989 to continue his graduate study at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada, where he received Jesus Christ as his savior, as well as his Ph.D. in electrical engineering. He moved his family to Columbus, Indiana, in 1997, starting his career with Cummins Inc., holding various engineering leadership positions. He retired from Cummins on February 1st, 2024, after a 26.5-year rewarding career.

 

Clyde and his family are members of St Peter’s Lutheran Church, where Clyde led and involved in various mission projects such as Mossy Foot in Ethiopia, India Transform, Orphan Grain Train, and New Song Mission. He was the founding member of the Columbus Chinese Christian Fellowship and Church and has been supporting the group as a Bible study leader and a lay preacher for more than 10 years.

Meet The Team

 
 
Xi Zeng (Sean)

Board Member/Treasurer

Sean was born in China. He moved to Toronto, Ontario, Canada with his wife Iris Ding and worked at Automotive industry in 2001. They have two sons – Alex 14 years old and Vincent 17 years old. After 10 years in Canada, Sean and the family moved to Columbus, Indiana and started working for Cummins Inc in 2011. Sean serves as a deacon for Columbus Chinese Christian Church and his wife Iris is a board member of Columbus Chinese Association, serving the local Chinese and Christian community.

Chris Lorimor

Board Member

Chris married his college sweetheart Christine in 1995. They have 3 daughters and now their first son-in-law. Chris works as an engineering team lead at Cummins. He has coached girls’ and boys’ volleyball from PAAL through varsity and girls’ basketball at the varsity level for many years. He also served in several roles for LOGIC Speech and Debate Club for several years. He serves as a deacon at Lakeview Church of Christ where they have worshipped since they moved to Columbus in 2000.

Mrs. Carrilynn Williams

Board Member

Mrs. Carrilynn Williams has spent the past 26 years as a stay-at-home mom, raising and homeschooling her 9 children—2 biological and 7 adopted from Haiti, the U.S., and China. Throughout her parenting journey, Carri has navigated the challenges of raising children with disabilities and complex medical needs, learning to provide compassionate care and advocacy for their unique needs. She and her husband, Tom, have been partners in life and parenting, relying on their faith to guide them through each challenge. In addition to her family life, Carri has actively served in children’s ministry and has been involved in ministry with her family, building cross-cultural relationships and supporting missions both locally and abroad. Carri's faith has been foundational in her life, having experienced personal redemption through God’s grace as a young adult. With a deep commitment to family and a heart for service, she is passionate about supporting others and encouraging individuals to thrive and grow in love, grace, and resilience.

Ryan Hou

Senior Operation Advisor

Ryan is the founding CEO of LHP Inc, a provider of engineering solutions. Outside his various successful business adventures, he has been actively serving the community. He was the deputy mayor of Columbus and the founder of Columbus Chinese Association and School.

Margret Weik

Board Member

Maggie lives in the Midwest with her husband, David and has adopted 11 children from China. Maggie accepted Jesus into her heart as a teenager and has always felt called to the need of the orphan, and felt led to China. She has been a strong advocate for many Special Needs orphans and has found several families for them. She has been highly sought-a er as a navigator and advisor in the Chinese adoption process. Maggie graduated from DeSales University with a B.A. In Psychology. She has had a diverse career including one in broadcasting and as a business owner and even worked in Child Welfare for a time. She now is an Independent Insurance Agent since its flexibility allows her to prioritize her family. She feels that the most important and meaningful job however, has been the one of being a wife and also a mother to her amazing children.

Angela Yeo

Board Member/Secretary

Angela was originally from Singapore, and she met Clyde XI, her future husband, while studying at University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada in 1989. They have two grown-up sons, Cyrus and Ernest, and one daughter, Hope, an 8th grader, who was adopted from China when she was 5-year-old. Angela was a stay-home mother until 2011 when both sons could drive themselves. Since then she has been employed at Cummins Inc as an Administrative Associate. Angela has been active in both church and community, supporting Clyde in various charity and mission projects.

Fengxue Zhang (Felicia)

Board Member

Dr. Fengxue Zhang (Felicia) is originally from China. She came to the United States in 2023 to reunite with her husband, Dr. Yunhao Zhao (Nathan). Felicia holds both a Bachelor’s and a Doctorate in Engineering from Central South University, where she also worked as a research assistant after graduation before coming to the U.S. Felicia and her family now live in Columbus, Indiana, where she received Jesus Christ as her Savior. She actively serves in both her church and community, and her husband also serves as a deacon leader at the Columbus Chinese Christian Church. Felicia has a deep passion for charity and helping others, through which her faith has grown even stronger. They are blessed with a six-year-old son, Sebastian.

Michael Malinsky

Spiritual Advisor

Pastor Mike is married to Terry since 1979 and have 3 children, Jon (1981), Rachel {1983) and Matt {1986). They have 3 grandchildren through Matt and Jenna - Benny, Katie and Anthony. Pastor Mike was born in 1950 in Burlington, Colorado. His grandfather and father were both Lutheran pastors, and after experiencing a calling from the Lord, he was ordained in 1978 and has served in various churches in Michigan, Maryland, Wisconsin, North Carolina and currently in Columbus, Indiana. Having served at St Peter's Lutheran since 1999, Pastor Mike retired in 2016 from full-time ministry. He continues to serve the Lord through India Transformed, hospital visitation, wedding officiating, babysitting grandkids and now as spiritual advisor for Village of the Stars.

Dr. Qinyu Wang (Amy)

Board Member

Dr. Qinyu Wang (Amy) is originally from China. She came to US for her graduate study in 1994. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Tsinghua University and a Doctor of Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. Leveraging her engineering background, Amy has enjoyed a career spanning over 20 years in Big Data, Internet, and financial industry across China and the US. Her experience includes senior leadership roles at Alibaba Group and management positions at HSBC Bank and JPMorgan Chase Bank. A Christian since 2019, Amy actively contributes to her church and community. She is passionate about charity and helping others. Amy has a 21-year-old daughter, Sarah.
