Village of the Stars is a non-profit organization registered in Indiana, established in 2022. We are committed to being an advocate and voice for American families facing the multiple challenges of adopting and raising children from abroad. Our services focus on children with special needs. Areas of support include advocacy for families and children's needs, cultural, linguistic, and community resource matching, and financial assistance.
WHY WE ARE HERE
Village of the Stars was born out of God’s calling and exists to reflect His heart for the vulnerable. Guided by Scripture, we believe every child is created in God's image, precious beyond measure, and full of potential, especially those who have experienced loss, trauma, and rejection.
We are here because God commands us to care for orphans and to carry one another’s burdens in love. We walk alongside adoptive families—particularly those raising children with special needs from China—who face overwhelming challenges, often in silence. These families are weighed down by financial strain, medical and emotional hardships, social isolation, and cultural barriers.
In a world that often overlooks the broken and weary, we exist to bring light. We believe these children can shine like stars, and their lives—scarred yet sacred—can be healed, restored, and filled with hope. We serve by connecting resources, offering support, and covering families in prayer, believing it is the parents who raise their children, but the community that upholds them.
We are here to answer God’s call, to live out compassion, and to be the village where stars are nurtured to shine.
VISION
At Village of the Stars, we envision a united, faith-rooted community where every child is treasured, every family supported, and every life affirmed with hope, love, and belonging. Our mission is not only to respond to visible needs but to embody God’s compassion in both spiritual and practical ways—bridging cultures, communities, and hearts.
Three foundational biblical values guide this vision:
The Sacred Value of Life – Every human being is created in the image of God, imbued with dignity and purpose. Recognizing this sacred worth compels us to cherish and protect each life as uniquely precious in God’s eyes (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 139:14; Psalm 127:3).
The Value of Families – Family is the first institution designed by God, the foundation of both spiritual and societal stability and sustainability. Strengthening families is not optional—it is essential to the flourishing of children and communities alike (Genesis 1:28; Genesis 2:24; 1 Timothy 5:8; Colossians 3:20–21; Psalm 127:3–5).
The Value of Community – God created us for relationship—with Him and with one another. True community is marked by mutual care, shared burdens, and generosity. It is in community that compassion takes root and spiritual growth is nurtured (Galatians 6:2; Hebrews 13:16; Romans 12:4–5).
Together, these values lead us to respond to God's repeated call to care for the orphan, the vulnerable, and the lonely (Psalm 68:5; James 1:27; Psalm 10:17–18; Deuteronomy 10:18). We are driven by the belief that every life must be affirmed, and every orphan must be lifted—not just materially, but in identity, purpose, and hope.
To realize this vision, Village of the Stars adopts a threefold approach:
Bridge Building: We uniquely connect American adoptive families with the Chinese community and serve as a bridge between faith-based and secular spheres, fostering understanding and unity.
Resource Connecting: Rather than being the sole provider of aid, we specialize in linking families to a broader network of support—financial, spiritual, and practical.
Holistic Care: We address needs across three vital dimensions:

• Cultural Belonging that honors identity
• Faith Growth rooted in Christ-centered community

MOTTO
One Village, One Hope, and One Love
This motto captures the heart of who we are and the life we are called to live together.
One Village speaks to the power of unity and shared purpose. We believe no family should walk alone. Through partnership, prayer, and compassion, we become a true village—surrounding families with support, encouragement, and strength. As the saying goes, "It takes a village to raise a child." This rings especially true for children with special needs, who may face physical, emotional, or developmental challenges. For them—and their families—we are that village.
One Hope reminds us that our hope is firmly anchored in Christ. Even in the face of hardship, we hold fast to the unshakable truth that God is faithful. He heals what is broken, brings purpose out of pain, and walks with us in grace. This hope renews our strength, sustains our journey, and fuels our courage to press on.
One Love is the foundation of all we do. God’s love compels us to love others—sacrificially, practically, and unconditionally. Whether through financial support, spiritual encouragement, or simply being present in times of need, every act of service is an expression of the love Christ has poured out on us.
Together, these words are more than a motto. They are a way of life—a call to live as a community that reflects God’s heart through unity, hope, and love.
At Village of the Stars, we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, we are committed to providing holistic, thoughtful care that is intentional, relational, and deeply attuned to the unique needs of adoptive families, especially those raising children with special needs from China.
Our work is centered around three key areas, each designed to uplift families and help them flourish in every aspect of life:
1. Financial Assistance
We offer tangible support during times of hardship—whether that means helping with urgent medical bills, specialized therapies, or daily essentials. We recognize that financial strain can be one of the heaviest burdens families carry. Our goal is to ease that weight, so parents can focus on nurturing, healing, and connecting with their children without the added stress of unmet needs.
2. Cultural Belonging
We believe every child’s identity is sacred. Through culturally affirming programs, Chinese language and heritage resources, and inclusive community events, we help children celebrate where they come from while feeling fully accepted where they are. We also foster meaningful bridges between adoptive families and the broader Chinese community—creating a sense of belonging that strengthens both roots and relationships.
3. Faith-Driven Growth
Spiritual care is the heartbeat of our mission. We walk with families through prayer, mentorship, discipleship resources, and Christ-centered community groups. We believe that when families are rooted in faith, they discover resilience, peace, and a renewed sense of purpose. It is in growing together spiritually that they are best equipped to navigate the joys and trials of their journey.
Each of these service areas is grounded in a relationship. We don’t show up as distant providers—we walk alongside families as fellow travelers. Our goal is not only to meet needs, but to cultivate lasting bonds of encouragement, advocacy, and Christ-centered hope.
